Introduction

In this unit, you will apply an integrative approach to identifying and managing the symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment. Emphasising holistic care, you will address the physical, psychological and spiritual issues that impact the lives of those affected by cancer. You will explore the diverse needs of patients and the pivotal role of the nurse throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance your ability to provide evidence-informed, empathetic, patient-centred care and support optimal health outcomes.
