This subject addresses the principles of renal nursing incorporating the psychological, ethical and sociological domains of health. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to facilitate the patient's adaptation to renal dysfunction and promote the patient's self concept and quality of life. Concepts of health promotion and health education underpin this unit.
