Introduction
In this unit, you will be introduced to the issue of violence in society across the lifespan and how it can relate to you in your healthcare setting. Violence will be examined within international, national and local contexts, exploring the social and cultural components associated with violent behaviour and current and emerging approaches to violence prevention. You will be encouraged to engage with violence related policies, with a focus on the complex issue of healthcare-related violence.
