Advanced Clinical Nursing Practice unit (CNA803)

Introduction

This unit builds upon knowledge gained previously in areas of leadership, change management, peer supervision, as well as collaborative and reflective practice, extending these capabilities into advanced clinical and leadership decision-making. You will focus your learning through a research/academic writing lens.

You are expected to advance your skills in disseminating your advanced knowledge in a range of formats, addressing complex issues relevant to advanced nursing practice. Whether focusing on clinical practice, research or leadership, you will critically analyse complex situations or presentations, integrate evidence into decision-making, and clearly articulate your reasoning in written format. Assessment provides structured opportunities to demonstrate autonomy, reflective practice and evidence-informed approaches to improving person-centred care and professional capability.
