Pharmacy in Health Care unit (CSA118)

Introduction

In this unit, you will be introduced to the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists within the Australian healthcare system, with a focus on ethical, legal and safe professional practice. You will begin developing core clinical and critical-thinking skills through the use of key online pharmacy resources and evidence-based reference tools. You will also be introduced to over-the-counter medication and the legal and professional requirements that guide their supply In addition, you will learn how to undertake a basic medication history and explore a range of over-the-counter products used in the prevention and management of minor ailments.
