Introduction

In this unit, you will be introduced to more advanced skills related to dose checking and assessing prescription legality. You will also begin developing the foundational ability to recognise potential and actual medication-related problems, preparing you for more complex clinical decision-making in later units.  In addition, this unit will extend your understanding of primary health care management within the community pharmacy setting. Building on your previous learning, you will continue to develop skills in differential diagnosis, and the prevention and management of minor ailments. ¿
