Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics and Pharmacy Practice 1 unit (CSA409)

Introduction

In this unit, you will utilise your applied research skills and the knowledge learnt in preceding units to manage complex patient scenarios and optimise care for culturally diverse communities. This unit covers advanced pharmacy topics including deprescribing, palliative and end-of-life care, oncology, and immunisation. Alongside pharmacotherapeutics and pharmacy practice content, you will design a health promotion activity aimed at improving health outcomes within culturally diverse communities. You will also participate in simulated hospital rounds, where you will review and suggest management strategies for complex simulated patients.
