Clinical Chemistry 2 unit (CXA652)

Introduction

This unit builds on foundational knowledge in Clinical Chemistry and extends your theoretical and practical capability in clinical biochemistry. You will investigate biochemical and physiological changes associated with disease and how these changes are detected, validated and interpreted through laboratory testing. Case studies and laboratory activities are used to develop skills in analysing and interpreting clinical chemistry data in context, applying advanced technical laboratory procedures to generate defensible results, communicating laboratory reasoning to professional colleagues and engaging with research literature to support evidence-informed laboratory decision-making.
