Hobart
Introduction
The unit builds on knowledge of digital electronics acquired in the earlier years of the course. Students will learn how to apply the principles of digital electronics to construct complex systems such as microprocessor data paths and memory systems. These complex systems will be implemented using hardware definition language, programmed onto field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and analysed according to logical and performance requirements.
