Work Term 3 unit (JEE141)

Introduction

All 5 work terms have a minimum requirement of 12 weeks engineering professional practice. Those work terms that back on to each other can be completed continuously with the same company. In fact, all work terms could be completed with the same company although it is advisable that you obtain experience from different employers as this will make you a better graduate with broad experience. Throughout all work terms you will be required to monitor your progress with a logbook on the understanding of stage 1 engineering competencies as set out by Engineers Australia. In JEE141 Work Term 3, you are expected to show greater independence and responsibility to tasks given to you and make sure any of the 16 stage 1 competencies not competent after Work Term 2A/2B that you have a priority on those for this work term. You can become better acquainted with your chosen discipline, and can observe and appreciate the attitudes, responsibilities, and ethics expected of professional engineers.
