Introduction

The aim of this unit is to develop your ability to conduct a research project in the maritime, transport, logistics and related areas. To develop your research project skills, this unit explains the research project process. This includes the identification of the research problem, review of relevant literature, data collection and analysis and writing and presentation of the research report. The unit will also teach you how to manage research resources, meet expectations and deliver the project within the established time frame. The knowledge and skills you will acquire in this unit will enhance your capacity to conduct research project to solve complex real-world problems. The research project is conducted under the guidance/supervision of the unit coordinator. Should you have any problems with this unit, please contact me in the first instance by email or telephone. Alternatively, raise your questions during classes. You are strongly encouraged to consult with me about your research topic from the commencement of the semester and any matters arising during the process of conducting your research project.

Teaching

Teaching Pattern

A weekly three-hour workshop will be delivered face to face in the classroom. Distance students will be provided with a Zoom link to attend the class. Recording of the workshop will be available on the Content page of the unit MyLO site.
