Introduction
This unit provides students with the basic knowledge to solve mathematical problems involved in theoretical marine engineering units of the course. The students gain mathematical skills at the basic level to solve algebra, trigonometry, and calculus problems which are applied to Applied Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Naval Architecture and Electro-technology studies.
