Advanced Marine Control and Automation unit (JNE315)

Introduction

This unit will provide students with the required theoretical and practical knowledge to operate control and automation equipment and systems onboard a modern ship as an Engineer officer at the management level. A student completing this unit will be able to understand and operate the control systems onboard. Also, students will be able to manage troubleshooting and restoration of control equipment to operating condition.

This unit meets the requirements for knowledge, understanding and proficiency set out by the Maritime Training Package MAR60120, the STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments) and Table A-III/2 of the STCW Code.
