| Recommended | It is a recommendation that students familiarise themselves with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, (IMDG) particularly Volume 2 "dangerous goods list" and also the IMDG Supplement, particularly the Medical First Aid Guide (MFAG). Both of these are available via the University of Tasmania Library data base search, Regs4ships, IMO Codes, IMDG Code. Further to the text above it would help students understand Medical First Aid requirements on board if they familiarised themselves with IMO and ILO requirements around health, hygiene, safety and welfare arrangements on a ship. |
