Introduction
This unit provides the students with the knowledge and skills to plan, manage, and carry out ¿¿maintenance and repair work involving large marine diesel engines, steam systems and ¿ancillary equipment on commercial vessels and related platforms. This includes liaising with ¿shore based sub-contractors while observing and in line with safety and ¿statutory ¿requirements This unit meet the requirements for knowledge, understanding, and proficiency set out by ¿the current Maritime Training Package, The STCW 2010 (Manila Amendments), Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code, and relevant AMSA Marine ¿orders.¿
