Agentic AI unit (KIT329)

Introduction

This unit introduces you to the emerging field of Agentic AI, focusing on the foundations, principles, and practical development of intelligent systems capable of autonomous reasoning, learning and interaction with users and environments. You will explore key technologies underpinning agentic AI, including reinforcement learning (RL), large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agent collaboration. Through this unit, you will learn how to design, implement, and evaluate AI agents for real-world applications, while considering challenges related to reliability, safety, ethics, and human–AI interaction. The unit builds on foundational artificial intelligence knowledge and equips you with contemporary skills to develop the next generation of autonomous and intelligent systems.
