Introduction

This unit provides students with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to ensure software quality through systematic testing, while demonstrating professional conduct in software testing and quality management practices. It covers the four recognised levels of software testing: unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing. The unit also examines quality management processes, with a focus on quality assurance planning, as well as quality control procedures and verification testing. Students are also required to integrate their findings into a professional technical report.

Teaching Pattern

On-campus Melbourne and Ultimo teaching arrangements may differ and will be advised by your teaching team. 

On-campus enrolments in Hobart: 

Lectures: 2 hour/week

Tutorial: 2 hour tutorials/week 

Independent Learning: 1 hour/week (on average)

In this unit, students are expected to attend lectures and on-campus tutorial classes and are expected to remain up-to-date with content which is delivered asynchronously on-line.
