Agribusiness Industry Placement unit (KLA380)

Introduction

This unit provides students with first-hand experience of entrepreneurship in agriculture and food through a work placement or study tour. Students will explore a range of topics central to entrepreneurship and work-integrated learning through facilitated discussions in a tutorial format. Students are allocated to a placement or study tour that aligns with their interests and career aspirations and in one-on-one consultation with the unit coordinator. Students will produce written reports and deliver a seminar presentation that demonstrate their understanding of entrepreneurship in practice, and how it contributes to the evolving agri-food sector. The placement experience is designed to strengthen students’ employability, creativity, and confidence as emerging professionals in the agricultural and food industries.
