Introduction
Honours enables students to develop independent, cost-effective research skills. This includes the ability to design, budget, manage, and implement research investigations; to record, collate, analyse and summarise data; and to effectively communicate key research outcomes to a high standard both in verbal and written forms. Students also develop an advanced level of knowledge in their chosen area of specialisation.
Students will be permitted to enrol in honours in Agriculture or Science provided: (a) they have achieved an adequate standard, normally a credit average in a relevant bachelor's degree, and (b) that a suitable project and supervisor is available.
The Honours thesis is to be completed in accordance with the notes and instructions available from the Honours Coordinator. The honours program consists of a research project determined following consultation with the supervisor and approved by the Associate Head Learning and Teaching.
