Insect Ecology and Behaviour unit (KLA611)

Introduction

You will explore five contemporary entomological research areas in depth that have broad application to industry and society. These are reproduction, pollination, predation, herbivory and global insect declines. In each of these areas, you will examine evidence for and against current hypotheses and explore this research's application to applied areas such as sustainable pest management and crop production.  In addition, you will undertake small group-based research assignments. This will develop your skills in planning, implementing, analyzing and communicating scientific experiments, as well as thinking critically about broader scientific literature.
