Honours Research D unit (KNS403)

Introduction

This unit represents 25% of the work to satisfy the requirements of Bachelor of Science with Honours. Intending Honours students should first consult the Honours Coordinator and potential supervisors well before the end of the final year of their undergraduate course. The Honours course starts either in the first week of February with a thesis being submitted by the end of November or in the first week of August with all requirements being completed by the end of May in the following year  (~39 weeks, full-time). Part-time study is also available (~78 weeks) . The program consists of the following elements: a literature review, verbal presentations, a research project (resulting in a written thesis) and discipline specific activities (not all of which are formally assessed). Full information on objectives and assessment criteria are contained in a booklet which is available from the Honours coordinator. Discipline-specific information is available from your specific discipline honours coordinator.

Teaching Pattern	This unit is conducted under the mentorship of a research supervisor. There will be resources to support your Honours research on the MyLO page for this unit. You will use these resources in discussion with your supervisor and the Honours coordinator to support your project conceptualisation, development, communication, and completion.
