Introduction

The capstone project unit provides an opportunity for students to consolidate the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their course and apply them to a substantial ICT project. This unit extends the students development of the professional, technical, communication and teamwork skills required by ICT professionals in practice. Students will extend their knowledge and skills in the areas of project management and system development through completing professional project documentation and managing the development of the team project using the agile methodology. Students will have the opportunity to apply their major specific knowledge and skills that they have acquired to an authentic project.

KIT203 and 200 credit points passed in P3T OR 300 dredit points in X3Y, 93J, 93H, 93i OR 499 credit points in X3Z

Teaching

Teaching Pattern

On campus in Shanghai:

  • Lecture (1 hour) 5 times during semester
  • Tutorial (30mins) 5 times during semester (report project progress at the end of each project stage)
  • Workshop/showcase (4 - 6 hours)
  • Self-study and group work (10 - 20 hours per week)
