Introduction
This unit focuses on how digital health systems are designed, governed and used within healthcare settings, particularly in relation to data management, privacy and secure information sharing.
Through engagement with authentic scenarios, you will examine how digital health initiatives operate in practice, where system challenges emerge, and how information flows across services and organisations. You will develop the ability to interpret these issues and apply your understanding to inform decision-making in digital health contexts.
You will analyse stakeholder perspectives and explore the ethical, legal and governance factors that shape digital health practice. Alongside this, you will develop skills in forming and justifying recommendations that support improvements in digital health implementation, service design and decision-making.
