Applied Business Foundations unit (ZAA131)

Introduction

In this unit, you will identify skill sets and knowledge required to work in a chosen industry and evaluate your own skills, attributes and learning goals to work in your chosen industry. Through case studies, workshops, online materials and tutorials, you will identify challenges and opportunities in your industry and will identify the skills and business tools needed to address them. You will explore the importance of planning and strategy development in management decision making. This unit also incorporates learning through practice by exposing you to authentic learning experiences. These experiences are placed at the centre of learning and assessment, for you to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary to respond to industry, community and/or global needs.
