Introduction

This unit introduces the foundations of risk analysis, risk management, and contingency planning at an organisational level. The unit explores the foundations of risk across many industries and disciplines, examining the risk analysis process, contingency planning, business continuity and disaster recovery. By exploring the implications of current incidents in areas such as security, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and primary and secondary industries, you will gain insight into strategic and tactical decision making to avoid harm.
