Life-changing experiences

As a student you get to experience your chosen career in the workplace, putting theory into practice in a real health care setting – within the College of Health and Medicine this is called Professional Experience Placement (PEP).

That might sound a bit scary – but you’ll be prepared. You’ll have a supervisor guiding you, and you will be supported by academic and professional staff from the University.

You’ll also get to experience a new community, and new fields of practice that you may never have considered. You will undertake PEP in a variety of health care environments and locations, including rural and regional areas. After graduation, many students end up returning to the communities that hosted them, because they felt so welcome and part of the team - you’re welcomed because of your positive contribution.
