Tasmanian Collaboration for Health Improvement
The Tasmanian Collaboration for Health Improvement is a key partnership between Primary Health Tasmania, the Department of Health, the University of Tasmania, as well as with other health service providers, community organisations and local government, to promote evidence-based health promotion and care for all Tasmanians.
The Tasmanian Data Linkage Unit (TDLU) was established in 2010 along with other data linkage units across Australia with funding from the Australian Government, to support nationally and internationally significant population-based research that will improve health and health-related well-being as well as enhancing the delivery of health and community care services in Tasmania and the rest of Australia.
Medical Science Precinct
Located in the Hobart CBD, the Medical Science Precinct (MSP) is home to the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre and the School of Medicine. The MSP includes major research laboratories and a clinical research facility.

The School of Health Sciences is home to the University Exercise Physiology Clinic, where our exercise physiology researchers and students undertake research and provide exercise assessment, prescription and counselling to the general public.
Centre for rural health
The Centre for Rural Health (CRH) was established in 1997 under the Regional Health Strategy of the Australian Government. We aim to improve access for rural and remote communities to appropriate health services by encouraging students to pursue a career in rural practice and supporting health care professionals working in these areas.
