You will be able to view or check your provisional IELTS results online, once they are available. However, this should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance — only the TRF or eTRF are considered as official confirmation of results.
To preview your results online, you will need your passport or ID number (the same number you used when you registered for the test).
FAQs
An IELTS eTRF is an official digital version of the IELTS Test Report Form.
eTRFs are now available for customers who sit the IELTS on computer test at eligible test centres in Australia. The eTRF will be available in your booking profile as a downloadable PDF file.

Results are usually recognised for up to two years, but you will need to confirm the validity with the organisation where you are applying.
We offer IELTS on computer test and One Skill Retake at the University of Tasmania.
You're eligible for IELTS One Skill Retake when you have completed a full IELTS on computer test at our test centre, and you've received your IELTS test score. You must take IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your original test date.

You have a choice of two versions of IELTS - an academic version and a non-academic version. These are known as IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. It is your responsibility to ensure you have selected the correct test. If you are unsure, you should check with the organisation who has asked you to take the test to determine what their requirements are.
If you require the test for immigration purposes, you will need to confirm which version of the test you need to take with the Department of Home Affairs.

No. We are unable to share results via email or phone.
The Writing, Reading and Listening components of the test take approximately 3 hours. The speaking will be held in the afternoon on the same day, unless advised otherwise. If you need an early speaking interview time, please contact the test centre prior to the test date. It may not be possible to adjust any speaking interview times on test day.
In order to ensure that the language ability of all test takers is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for test takers who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties, medical conditions or infant feeding.
If you require a modified version of IELTS, you must give the test centre three months' notice. If your circumstances require special arrangements to be made, e.g. extra time, you must give the test centre six weeks' notice.
Please contact us for further details on the special needs application process. Medical evidence must be supplied and we will process the application, make an assessment and advise you of what can be offered on test day.
If you require medication on test day, you are permitted to bring the following:
Medication in original packaging and removed from box (if applicable)
Please present this to test day staff when you arrive at the test centre, so it can be checked. Once in the test room, you will be asked to leave the medication with staff for the duration of the test.
Please let us know at least four weeks in advance if you intend to use the following:
- Hearing aid.
- Inhaler; or
- Any other medical devices
You may be asked to provide medical evidence for approval to bring any of these into the exam.
If you have a disability that requires administrative arrangements (e.g. extra time) you should apply at least 6 weeks prior to the test.

On the day of the test, you must bring your current passport that you used to register for your test (only original and current passports are accepted). Your passport must have an expiry date of at least 7 days after the test date to be considered valid. Photocopies or certified copies will not be accepted.
What can you bring into the IELTS test room?
- Your ID document, No passport = No exam
- Clear bottle of water – remove all labels and bottle must be see-through.
Nothing else is permitted in the exam room.
You are NOT allowed to take any of the following items into the test room: mobile phones or other electronic devices, watches, or any other personal belongings.
Please let us know at least four weeks in advance if you intend to use your usual hearing aid on your test day.
What you should not bring on IELTS test day
- You must switch off your mobile phones and place them with your other personal belongings (all electronic devices, keys, wallet, food, bags, watch/smartwatch/fit-bit...) in the area designated by the supervisor.
- You are strongly advised not to bring any valuable items with you to the test centre.
- Children or family members of test takers are not allowed to enter the IELTS test venue. If someone needs to wait for you, please ask them to wait outside the venue.

Yes, if you need to change your test type/module (Academic or General Training), you must contact us. You should do this as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before your test (otherwise, you may need to select a new test date).
IELTS is committed to fairness in all aspects of the IELTS test. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your result, you are entitled to apply for a re-mark. A re-mark is called an Enquiry on Result or EOR. You may select any or all of the modules to be marked again.
Your application must be received within six weeks of the test date.
Please login your IELTS profile. Click on "Past tests" to view the previous IELTS tests you have taken. If your test is within the timeframe eligible for a re-mark, you can simply click the "Re-mark" option and follow the next steps to apply for an Enquiry on Results.
Should any of your scores change a full refund will be issued.
If you wish to make a complaint, please download the Complaint Form for Candidates (PDF 111KB). Candidates should use this form to describe the nature of their complaint. If you are making a complaint about an incident on test day, this form must be submitted to the IELTS Administrator on the same day. No complaint will be processed after your results have been released by your test centre.
If you’re sick on the day of your test, please get in touch with us. If you contact us on the day of your test, you can change your test date at no additional charge. If you’re too ill to contact us on the day of your test, you can still request a transfer of your test date for up to 14 days after your scheduled test.
However, in that case, you must see a doctor and obtain an approved medical certificate dated on or before the test date. Submit this to the test centre within 14 days of your test. If approved, you may still be eligible for a free transfer of your test to a new date.
The IELTS test fee is $490 which is payable by credit card when you make your online application.
If you do not attend your scheduled IELTS test (or part of your IELTS test) and don’t inform the test centre, that is considered non-attendance. If you do not attend your test and fail to notify us by test day, you’re not eligible for a refund. However, if you have valid evidence of serious illness or an emergency, submit it within 14 days to request a transfer.
