The leadership of the IEEE PES Energy Development and Power Generation (EDPG) Committee is receiving the IEEE PES Technical Council Technical Committee of the Year Award: Professor Kai Strunz (TU-Berlin), Past Chair; Professor Michael Negnevitsky (University of Tasmania), Chair and Professor Anurag Srivastava (West Virginia University), Secretary.
In 2025, the EDPG Committee organized and sponsored 20 panel sessions at the IEEE PES General Meeting 2025. All sessions were exceptionally well attended, attracting more than 700 delegates. In addition, the EDPG Committee contributed to the development of 19 IEEE standards. These outstanding achievements reflect the dedication, leadership, and excellence of the committee and have been recognised by the IEEE PES Technical Council.
Professor Negnevitsky served as the committee's Secretary from 2021 to 2022 and as Vice Chair from 2023 to 2024. Since 2025, he has served as the Committee Chair.
