Arman Ali is a Research Fellow and electrical engineer specializing in advanced power systems and the grid integration of renewable energy. He earned his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan, in 2014, followed by a Master's degree in Electrical Power System and its Automation from North China Electric Power University, Beijing, China, in 2019. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, NSW, Australia. Currently, he is contributing his expertise as a Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania (UTAS), Hobart, Australia. His core research interests encompass power system stability, artificial intelligence, the control of distributed energy resources, grid-forming (GFM) inverter technologies for black start restoration, and the applications of deep reinforcement learning for active distribution networks and energy management systems.
