This prestigious scholarship is generously funded by the College of Arts, Law and Education to encourage high performing international students to study Law at the University of Tasmania, commencing in Semester 1 (February) or Semester 2 (July) 2021.
Available to international students who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must have received an offer of a full-time place in one of the following degrees:
- Applicants must have previously completed pre-tertiary studies; and be either:
- A school leaver who has achieved a 95+ ATAR equivalent and has not already commenced tertiary studies, OR
- A Graduate who has achieved a High Distinction (85+/100) equivalent in their most recently completed and relevant tertiary studies.

To retain this award, recipients are required to remain enrolled full-time (100% per year) in one of the above listed degrees and achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each academic year.
Four (4) scholarships are available for Semester 1, 2021, covering 50% registered tuition fees for the full duration of the eligible Bachelor of Law degree (including Student Services & Amenities Fees).
Four (4) scholarships are available for Semester 2, 2021, covering 50% registered tuition fees for the full duration of the eligible Bachelor of Law degree (including Student Services & Amenities Fees).
Students are assessed automatically for the Dean of Law's Merit Scholarship upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.
