The University of Tasmania International Welcome Pack provides eligible commencing international students with a one-off $500 gift card to support their transition to Tasmania and the start of their studies at the University of Tasmania.
The International Welcome Pack is designed to provide practical support to commencing international students as they settle into life in Tasmania and begin their studies at the University. It also recognises students who finalise their acceptance arrangements early, giving them more time to prepare for their study journey.
Value
A one-off $500 gift card for eligible students. The gift card is separate from tuition fees and does not reduce or form part of the student's tuition fee liability。
Eligibility
- Be classified as an International Student under the admission and enrolment rules of the University of Tasmania.
- Hold a valid offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree commencing in 2027.
- Accept your offer and the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is issued by 30 November 2026.
- Commence your eligible course in 2027 at a Tasmanian campus in 2027 and remain enrolled in that course.
- Students who otherwise meet all eligibility requirements but are not required to obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) due to holding another valid visa that permits study in Australia may also be eligible, subject to final verification by the University.
How it works
There is no separate application required. Eligible students will be automatically considered once they complete the required acceptance process by 30 November 2026*.
*Meeting the acceptance requirements by 30 November 2026 creates provisional eligibility only. Final eligibility will be confirmed after commencement and the applicable census date. Students who defer, do not commence, withdraw before census, do not meet applicable tuition fee requirements, or are unable to commence because of visa refusal will not be eligible to receive the gift card.
Welcome packs are expected to be distributed from after the applicable census date.
