Overview
This bursary is provided by the Burnie City Council to support a commencing student from the Burnie municipality.
Eligibility
- Available to a student from the Burnie municipality commencing study in an undergraduate degree course at the University of Tasmania in the first half of 2024.
- Applicants must have lived in the Burnie Municipality for at least the past two years and show financial need.
- Preference will be given to a student who is commencing study at the Cradle Coast campus in Burnie.
- In accordance with the Council’s Education Bursaries and Awards Policy, applicants must not have completed tertiary study previously.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
