The University of Tasmania Work Ready Program will prepare you for success at university and in your future career. Whist studying full-time Professional Accounting at our Launceston campus, you’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits and opportunities of the program. The Work Ready Program combines your Master of Professional Accounting degree with a guaranteed corporate internship placement, regular mentoring and English language sessions, work experience, networking and training opportunities as well as financial support to help you settle in during your first year of study.
Eligibility
- To be eligible, applicants must be a full-time student studying on-campus, this Work Ready Program is not available for students studying by distance.
- This scholarship is for students who are currently participating in the Master of Professional Accounting Work Ready Program in Launceston.
- The benefits will be given in the form of the following:
- financial assistance of $3,000 AUD to support the education and study-related expenses (cash payment) split into three payments;
- a guaranteed place in the *Corporate Internship Program in the second year of the student’s course, whether or not the student has met the separate entry requirements for that program but subject to the student’s satisfactory progress in all elements of the Work Ready Program in years 1 and 2; and
- parallel employability program comprising workshops, networking opportunities, voluntary workplace learning experiences, training, English support, and access to a designated academic mentor.
