This scholarship is generously provided by Mrs Judith McKernan, an Alumna of the University of Tasmania. Judith’s father encouraged her to study physical sciences at the University of Tasmania, at a time when women rarely followed this pathway. Education has been a central pillar in Judith’s life and in later postgraduate studies she became acutely aware of financial challenges other students had to overcome to attend university. It is the combination of her commitment to education and the desire to help others in need that has inspired Judith to establish this award.
Eligibility
Available to a current student who is enrolling in their second year of a Bachelor of Science or combined science degree. Selection will be based on financial need and academic merit.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
