Overview
Mrs Jane Gillies passed away in 1997 and provided a bequest to the University to endow scholarships, prizes and medals in Plant Science. This scholarship is part of this endowment and provides an award for an Honours student studying botany.
Eligibility
- Available to students commencing honours in the Discipline of Biological Sciences in the area of plant science in Semester 2, 2024.
- Selection will be based on academic merit.
- Candidates should also be aware that some University-wide scholarships are applicable to projects in biological sciences – this can be discussed with the Biological Sciences honours co-ordinator: eloise.foo@utas.edu.au

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
