Overview
This scholarship is provided by the estate of the late John Kable QC, a noted Tasmanian barrister, and was significantly supplemented by Bess Kable.
Eligibility
- Available to a student who will have successfully completed first year of full-time study in 2023 and will be enrolling full-time in second year of the Bachelor of Laws, or a combined degree that includes Bachelor of Laws in 2024 at the University of Tasmania.
- Eligible students must have completed the units International Law, Torts, Foundations of Law, and Legal Reasoning and Technological Change.
- The successful student must have also been educated in the Tasmanian state school system and wishes to practise law.

- Maintain a GPA of 5 or above

$8,000 per year (either as cash or paid towards HECS fees)
