Overview
This scholarship has been endowed by the Australian Government in memory of Larry Knight, who was killed in the Beaconsfield Mine disaster in April 2006. This Scholarship is intended as a permanent legacy to Larry’s life. Funding for the scholarship was provided by the Australian Government Department of Education.
Eligibility
- Available to an Australian citizen or permanent resident who can demonstrate financial need and is commencing a course that may be related to the mining industry (e.g. Engineering, Earth Sciences, etc) in Semester 1, 2024.
- Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the mining industry in their application.
On-going Eligibility
- Maintain a GPA of 5 or above
Amount
$13,000 per year - this includes HECS fees plus a living allowance.
