Overview
The School of Social Sciences offers up to 2 scholarships to support students experiencing financial hardship who are commencing a Bachelor of Justice Studies with Honours or a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Criminology, Sociology, Politics and Policy, or International Relations. Engaging with the School as a student ambassador is a condition of this award; the successful applicants will participate in events to promote Honours and will be invited to attend School meetings as student partners on occasion.
Eligibility
- This scholarship is available to students commencing a Bachelor of Justice Studies with Honours (R4D) or Bachelor of Arts with Honours (R4A) in a Social Sciences discipline.
- Selection will be based upon demonstration of financial need, with academic merit (grade point average across the second and particularly the third year of study in the chosen discipline) considered as a secondary criterion.
- Applicants must also demonstrate evidence of research strength in line with the College's research capacity and strength as provided by the research proposal (for ideas see the advertised projects for Social Sciences).
- Applicants must contact their School Honours Coordinator prior to applying to ensure the availability of an appropriate supervisor and the capacity of the relevant School to provide support for the proposed project.
