Overview
The Sure Start scholarship is supported by the Tasmanian Government through the Department for Education, Children and Young People to encourage young people who have experienced out-of-home care to pursue or continue their education and career endeavours.
Eligibility
- To be eligible students must be:
- Australian citizen or permanent resident,
- have been (in the last five years) or currently in out-of-home care (includes formal kinship care), as defined by the Department for Education, Children and Young People, and
- be a current resident of Tasmania.
- The scholarship is available to students undertaking undergraduate study in any Bachelor degree, or University Preparation Program, or Diploma of University Studies at the University of Tasmania in Semester 1, 2024.
