Overview
The Thomas Crawford University of Tasmania Scholarship is provided through the generous bequest to the University by the late Thomas A Crawford. Thomas was an American citizen who came to Tasmania in the 1960’s to study at the University in Hobart. His gift to the University will provide opportunities for Tasmanian, interstate and other school leavers demonstrating academic excellence and need in Years 11 and 12 to study a diverse range of academic disciplines at the University of Tasmania.
Eligibility
- Available to Tasmanian and interstate school leavers who are:
- Australian citizens or citizens of the one of the following countries: Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom, or the United States of America,
- who will be receiving a tertiary entrance score in 2023 or received a tertiary entrance score in 2022,
- and will be commencing full-time study in any academic area of study at the University of Tasmania in the first half of 2024.
- Selection for this scholarship will be based academic merit and financial need.
- Quality of written application may also be taken into consideration.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
