Overview
The Teach Tasmania Scholarship was developed with the Tasmanian Government to ensure our state has the quality teachers it needs for the future.
The scholarship, valued at up to $31,000 over the length of your degree, will make it easier for students in challenging circumstances to study the Bachelor of Education, while also supporting our high-achieving graduates into the Master of Teaching.
Eligibility
- Available to commencing and current students who are either commencing or continuing study in a Master of Teaching or a Bachelor of Education in Semester 1, 2024.
- Applicants will be assessed on financial need.
- To be eligible students must:
- be a current Tasmanian resident;
- commit to undertake their placements in Tasmanian public schools;
- and commit to studying full-time throughout the Master of Teaching
Amount
$4,000 pa for Masters of Teaching and $3,500 pa for Bachelor of Education
Duration
Up to 4 years for Bachelor of Education, Up to 2 years for Master of Teaching
