Overview
Dr Hilary and the late Dr Alan Wallace are retired medical practitioners who have had a close association with Jane Franklin Hall. The only independently managed residential College of the University of Tasmania, Jane provides the complete accommodation package. Fully-catered and with a strong academic program, Jane offers a secure, comfortable environment for students who want a rounded experience from their time at university. More than just accommodation, Jane is a community of scholars where lifelong friendships are made and academic learning is valued.
Eligibility
- Available to a commencing or continuing student undertaking the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Semester 1, 2024 who was educated in the north or north-west of Tasmania and who will need financial assistance to move away from home to undertake study.
- The student must be entering Jane Franklin Hall for the first time and the scholarship will support the successful applicant to reside at Jane Franklin Hall.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
