Overview
The Wicking Centre aims to improve the lives of those affected by dementia through its internationally recognised research and education programs. The Wicking Centre provides honours scholarships to support students undertaking their honours year with Wicking researchers, working in the health services field, on projects relating to dementia. The Wicking Centre takes a multidisciplinary approach across neuroscience and health services, with research focused on the cause and prevention of dementia as well as care of those living with dementia.
Eligibility
- Available to students who have completed an undergraduate degree in Dementia Care, Sociology, Psychology, Nursing, Science, Education, Medical Research, Health or Health Science and are commencing an Honours research program in health services at the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre in Semester 2, 2024.
- For students who completed their undergraduate degrees interstate and intend on moving to Tasmania to complete their Honours year, assistance with relocation costs may be available.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
