Overview
The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Tasmania offers up to two Zoology honours scholarships in the Discipline of Biological Sciences each calendar year. Tasmania is one of the world's great places in which to study Zoology. It is a compact island with a diverse and relatively undisturbed landscape and it has an endemic fauna with many unique features. There are extensive, accessible mountains, forests and freshwater habitats. The Discipline’s research and training strengths in Zoology relate to:
- Wildlife Management and Conservation;
- Behavioural and Evolutionary Ecology;
- Comparative Endocrinology and Physiology; and
- Freshwater Ecology.
Eligibility
- Available to students commencing Zoology honours in the School of Natural Sciences in the Discipline of Biological Sciences in Semester 2, 2024.
- Selection will be based on academic merit.
- Candidates should also be aware that some University-wide scholarships are applicable to Zoology projects – this can be discussed with the Biological Sciences honours co-ordinator: eloise.foo@utas.edu.au
