Overview
The ARC Centre of Excellence for the Weather of the 21st Century explores how Australia’s weather is being reshaped by climate change.
We offer scholarships intended to provide undergraduate students with an introduction to cutting-edge climate science and weather change research.
A number of scholarships valued at $3,800 will be awarded to successful students allowing them to work on a research project for a period of 6 week over the 2026 Spring/2027 Summer vacation period.

Eligibility
- Available to students in their second, third, or honours year who are interested in pursuing honours or a postgraduate degree in climate or weather change science.
- Selection will be based on Academic Merit.
- Students’ aptitude and commitment to studies in any quantitative degree, and reason for wanting to undertake a research project in climate or weather change science will also be taken into consideration.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
