Overview

The College of Science and Engineering has established the Catalyst Program to provide high achieving students with a unique opportunity to combine their science based bachelor degree with scholarships, summer research programmes, travel support and connection with other Catalyst students.

Eligibility

  • Available to high achieving domestic students (Tasmanian, interstate and New Zealander) commencing undergraduate study in 2024.
  • Applicants must be a Year 12 leaver who received a tertiary entrance score of 90 or higher in either 2022 or 2023 and is commencing study for the first time in an eligible Catalyst course in 2024.
  • Eligible courses are:
    • Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environments
    • Bachelor of Design
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours
    • Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology
    • Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science
    • Bachelor of Natural Environments and Conservation
    • Bachelor of Science
  • Students commencing double degrees that include one of the above degrees may also be eligible.

On-going Eligibility

  • Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
