Overview
Cradle Coast Rural Training Stream Scholarships are available for students studying medicine at the Cradle Coast campus, as part of the five year Cradle Coast Rural Training Stream.
This has been made possible through the support of the Federal Increasing Rural Medical Training (IRMT) program and the University of Tasmania’s Rural Clinical School.
Eligibility
- Available to students who are commencing studies in the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (H7X) in the Rural Training Stream in Burnie.
- Selection will be based on both financial need and passion for rural medicine.
- Available to Tasmanian residents (with a preference for applicants from the West and North West of Tasmania or areas classified MM 3 - MM 7 using the Modified Monash Model) commencing a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at the Cradle Coast campus (Burnie)

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
