Overview
The Chancellor's University of Tasmania Merit Scholarships are the University’s premier academic scholarships awarded to high achieving students who have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence in Years 11 and 12.
Eligibility
- Available to full-time students commencing study in any academic area who will be receiving a tertiary entrance score in 2025 or received a tertiary entrance score in 2024.
- Selection for this scholarship will be based on outstanding achievement in studies in Years 11 and 12 and a high tertiary entrance score, or equivalent International Baccalaureate.
- International students who have completed Years 11 and 12 at a school in Tasmania or in another Australian state may also apply for these awards.
- For Tasmanian students, scholarships will be evenly distributed among the different regions of Tasmania, with a limited number available for the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine.
- This scholarship is also available for interstate students.
- Each scholarship may include an involvement in student leadership activities.

- Maintain a GPA of 5 or above
