Overview
This scholarship is provided by Caterpillar Underground Mining which is the centre for research, design and development for underground hard rock vehicles at its facility in Burnie. Caterpillar Underground Mining is part of a highly successful worldwide organisation which manufactures construction and mining equipment, turbines and power generating plants.
Eligibility
- Available to a student entering their third year of study in an undergraduate engineering degree in Semester 1, 2027 (or equivalent for a combined degree) who is majoring in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Selection will be based on academic merit and the quality of the written application.
- Vacation employment opportunities may be available to the recipient at the Caterpillar Underground Mining facility over the summer.
- This scholarship will support the recipient through Years 3 and 4 of the course.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
